Implementing Distributed Summarizing in Your Classroom Using Pear Deck

I designed and developed this interactive e-learning course in Rise 360 as a professional development opportunity for school districts to use with their teachers. As the scheduling demands on public school teachers have increased, so has the desire for self-paced professional development opportunities.
This three-part interactive e-learning course uses various points of interaction, including questions, matching activities, flashcards, clickable checklists for hands-on tasks, and instructional videos, to instruct teachers on a high-impact teaching strategy. It also teaches them how to integrate this strategy with 21st-century technology skills for students as they are led through the process of creating their own classroom lesson in the Pear Deck program. Upon completion of this course, teachers will not only have gained new knowledge and technology skills, but they will also have a new lesson ready to go for their own classroom use.

Managing Your Anxiety

I designed and developed this interactive e-learning course in Rise 360 to meet a community health need for mental health awareness and education.
This interactive three-part e-learning course instructs learners on different types of anxiety, mental and physical symptoms of anxiety, and strategies for managing anxiety. Learning checkpoints are distributed throughout the lesson to increase retention of knowledge, with a cumulative quiz at the end of the course to ensure mastery. Multiple interactive blocks, including matching, flashcards, and instructional videos, are included to keep learners engaged. An audio playback option is included in all text blocks to support the learning process and increase content accessibility.
For this course, I acted as the subject matter expert by researching this topic to supplement my background knowledge and by writing the content of the lessons.
